Pitlochry

The town of Pitlochry lies in the heart of Scotland and is world-renowned for its outstanding landscape, welcoming locals, fine hospitality and clear, crisp air.

Nestled in the skirts of rolling hills and resting on the banks of the River Tummel, the town is steeped in history. Developed as a tourist resort after Queen Victoria visited the area in 1842, Pitlochry remains a firm favourite with Scottish visitors and those from much further afield.

The area offers the finest Scottish fare, lots of varied activities for you to enjoy and is celebrated as a centre for hillwalking with mountains Ben Vrackie and Schiehallion on its doorstep.

As a cultural centre, Pitlochry hosts a calendar of events throughout the year including sold-out shows at the Festival Theatre, a summer schedule of Highland games, the Enchanted Forest in autumn and the New Year’s Day Street Party.

There is no better time than right now for a countryside escape at Balnakeilly House.
